Our materials begin in the vineyards of Provence, France, where grape marc, the skins, seeds and stalks left after winemaking, become the foundation of our biomaterials.
Our design studio in Aix en Provence is where we imagine and create our colours, textures, and finishes. These are then brought to life by our manufacturing partners in Milan, Italy.
It returns to us as Savigne.
Designed to remain local, traceable and low impact, our supply chain is intentionally short, connected and rooted in regional collaboration.
Working across experimentation, collaboration and application, our studio develops into materials for fashion, accessories, objects and design applications, designed to evolve through use.
This is our savoir-faire.

Our approach
EU REACH Compliant
Developed in accordance with EU REACH regulations to support responsible and transparent materials innovation.
Created without animal skins or animal-derived leather for fashion, design and lifestyle applications.
Animal free
Our biomaterials biomaterials are developed entirely without animal skins or animal-derived leather, offering an alternative material approach for fashion, design and lifestyle applications.
Traceable supply
Our primary raw material, grape marc, is sourced directly from partner organic Châteaux and Domaines in Provence, France, creating a shorter, more transparent and regionally connected supply chain.
Bio-based and evolving
Our biomaterials are composed of up to 80.5% bio-based content, with continuous research towards lower impact alternatives.
Collaborative R&D
We work collaboratively with material scientists, manufacturers, technicians, designers and brands to continuously test, refine and evolve our grape-derived biomaterials across different applications and scales.
Developed through collaboration
Designers, brands and creative partnerships bring our biomaterials to life.
Savigne evolves through texture, application and experimentation.
From accessories and objects to fashion and automotive applications, each collaboration explores different material behaviours, surfaces and possibilities.

Developing with Savigne
Our Material Library is an evolving archive of textures, collaborations, material studies and applications developed through Savigne.
From colour and surface development, through to sampling and production, Planet of the Grapes works with designers and brands to explore how the materials evolve through application and experimentation.

Colour Development
Custom Pantone colour matching and finishes from matt through to high shine.
Surface & Texture Exploration
Development of bespoke textures, surfaces and material expressions across different applications and backing materials.
Collaborative Processes
Working closely with designers and brands from concept through to material application and production development.
Sampling & Production
Supporting experimentation, sampling, small production runs and scalable development pathways.
"Learning that up to 95% of a product's environmental impact comes from its materials led me to begin experimenting with grape marc in my own kitchen in Provence.
I was exploring how biomaterials could evolve through design, tactility and collaboration into materials people genuinely want to create with.
That curiosity continues to shape Planet of the Grapes today through every texture, application and partnership we develop.”
