Our materials begin in the vineyards of Provence, France, where the grape marc - the skins, seeds and stalks, left after winemaking, become the foundation of our biomaterials.
Our design studio in Aix en Provence is where we imagine and create our colours, textures, and finishes. We collect and prepare the grape marc in Provence and then we bring our materials to life in nearby Italy. Our production is carried out within a 500km radius.
Our biomaterials are called Savigne by Planet of the Grapes®.
Designed to remain local, traceable and low impact, our supply chain is intentionally short, connected and rooted in regional collaboration.
Our studio develops biomaterials for fashion, accessories, lifestyle, interiors and packaging, all designed to be made into beautiful pieces, through creativity and craftsmanship.

Traceable supply
Our primary raw material, grape marc, is sourced directly from partner organic and biodynamic winemakers in Provence, France, creating a shorter, more transparent and regionally connected supply chain.
Bio-based and evolving
Our biomaterials are composed of up to 80.5% bio-based content, with continuous research towards lower impact alternatives, that are durable and performant.
Co-creation
We work collaboratively with material scientists, manufacturers, technicians, designers and brands to continuously test, refine and evolve our grape-derived biomaterials across different applications and scale-ups.

Designing with Savigne
Every material tells a story. The Savigne Material Library showcases how grape marc from the vineyards of Provence is transformed into textures, colours, surfaces and products for the next generation of design.
Through collaborations with designers, brands and manufacturers, we explore the potential of Savigne across fashion, hospitality, packaging, interiors, sport and lifestyle. From our core material collection designers can prototype their creations and then follow through to production, each project demonstrates a different expression of the material.
