“Savigne by Planet of the Grapes”® is the name for our Biomaterials, signifying a hybrid of words, "Savoir-Faire" from the French word for know-how and "Vignes" from the French word for vines.
We are looking for Durability and Longevity in all of our Biomaterials, meaning that we work closely with Material Scientists and in parallel we are endlessly working hand in hand with our manufacturers to ensure that all that we are doing is feasible in today’s manufacturing infrastructure and that our biomaterials can be scaled up to have a real impact.

From a performance and a technical perspective we have the top scores in our ISO results for tear strength tests, Bally flex tests, Veslic abrasion tests, as well as our water drop resistance and sunlight tests.
In our performance tests with Melina Bucher, a leather goods atelier, that has extensive knowledge in next generation materials, we can demonstrate that our biomaterials can be stitched, glued, edge painted, debossed, embroidered, the essentials that will enable you and your designs to have a very high end finish.
