A material philosophy rooted in Provence.
Planet of the Grapes develops biomaterials derived from grape waste, shaped by terroir, circular thinking and creative collaboration.
Our work begins with grape marc from organic vineyards in Provence and evolves into Savigne by Planet of the Grapes®: a biomaterial developed for fashion, design, lifestyle and creative applications.

A creative circularity, driven by the joy of living.
A circular material development shaped by culture, pleasure and design.
At Planet of the Grapes, circularity is first and foremost a creative practice.
We transform grape marc - the skins, seeds and stalks left after winemaking - into biomaterials designed for texture, colour, performance and application.
Rooted in Provence and developed with our material partners, Savigne carries the character of its territory of origin while opening up new possibilities for fashion, accessories, objects and lifestyle design.

Rooted in the land.
Our materials originate in the vineyards of Provence.
In Provence, terroir is shaped by climate, geology, landscape and craft. It is the meeting of the Mistral wind, Mediterranean air, clay, limestone and the rhythm of the vines.

This is the landscape that shapes our raw material.
Grape marc is collected from our partner organic or biodynamic Châteaux and Domaines, then transformed through a regional supply chain designed to remain traceable, connected and materially expressive.

The combination of savoir-faire & vigne
The name 'Savigne' by Planet of the Grapes® brings together:

-
the letters 'Sa' from the term savoir-faire - the French expression for craftsmanship and know-how
-
'vigne' - the French word for vines.

Savigne represents our evolving material system: grape-derived biomaterials developed through collaboration, experimentation and application.
Progress through material development.
Planet of the Grapes develops biomaterials as an evolving material category, alongside our core collection. Each Savigne surface is shaped through colour development, texture exploration, performance testing and collaboration with designers, brands, technicians and manufacturing partners.

An ecological commitment shaped by progress.
Traceable sourcing, regional collaboration and ongoing material improvement.
Our ecological commitment begins with the way we source and develop our materials. We work with organic and biodynamic vineyards in Provence, using a selected portion of grape marc while recognising that other parts can return to the land or be repurposed through existing agricultural systems.
This gives us traceability from vineyard to material development, while supporting a more connected relationship between agriculture, design and material innovation.
We are honest about progress. Savigne continues to evolve through research, testing and collaboration as we work towards lower-impact material systems and increased bio-based content over time.

Regional development
Processed and developed through a connected Provence to Italy supply chain.
Evolving biomaterials
We have our core collection to design and create with. Alongside the core collection is ongoing material innovation.
Values in practice.
Our values guide how we develop our materials, build our partnerships, and make decisions as our biomaterials evolve.
Nature as a collaborator
We work with respect, in homage to the natural resources and abundance that the vineyards already offer us.
Creativity as a driving force
Our
We use design, color, texture, and application to make circularity desirable.
A community of creators
We develop long-term relationships with vineyards, material partners, designers, brands and institutions.
Values
Responsibility at every stage
We view material development as a continuous process of improvement, testing and refinement.
Design with Savigne.
Savigne by Planet of the Grapes® is open to collaborations with like-minded designers, brands, vineyards, businesses and more, whom are exploring new generation biomaterials.
